At Village Green, we encourage parents to become involved in our various activities. There are several ways to participate, with varying levels of commitment:
Parent Advisory Council: The Great Falls Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is a group of parents who volunteer their time to organize family-oriented events centered around their children’s school experiences.
- PAC hosts events that are sure to become special memories.
- PAC helps to foster the sense of a school family through activities such as the Parent Social, Fall Festival, Ice Cream Social, Playground Playdates, and Staff Appreciation Week.
To find out how you can become involved in PAC, email our PAC liaison, Brett Fox at email@example.com.
Class Ambassador: Each classroom has class ambassadors that help the teacher and PAC prepare for events in the School and in the classroom. These parents work with PAC, the administration and the teachers to identify the needs for each event, and then enlist the assistance of other parents in fulfilling these needs.
Classroom Volunteer: Opportunities exist for parents to provide supplies for special events in the classroom. Parents may also volunteer at the special events, and to help chaperone field trips.
Attendance at Special Events: Throughout the year, family members are invited to attend both classroom events (e.g., holiday parties) and school-wide events (e.g., Grandparent’s Day, Winter Concert, and Extended Day and SACC Thanksgiving Feast).
We tap into the power of the home as the child’s first preschool. We build a bridge connecting home and school because we know it is optimal for children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
