Ian Simmons is the Vice President of Village Green Day School and the son of the Founders, Lynne and Larry Simmons. For most of his career, Ian has been involved with Village Green Day School.

Ian was born in Washington D.C. and was raised in Great Falls, Virginia. He graduated from Flint Hill Prepatory School, and then received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia.  In 1996, Ian was brought on as a full-time Village Green employee to help develop the Lowes Island campus, and then later to work on remodeling the Great Falls campus.  In 2008, Ian was appointed Vice President of the School.

Ian currently lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife Cyndi and their son. They enjoy traveling, especially to the beach. Ian also enjoys golf, fly fishing, cooking, and entertaining with friends. Most of all he likes to laugh and enjoy each and every day.
