Lynne and Larry Simmons founded Village Green Day School in 1979. They have been residents of Great Falls since 1965. Lynne Simmons is a creative, experienced educator and successful businesswoman. Her husband Larry was a land developer and builder. Lynne Simmons’ guidance and vision in programming and employee satisfaction maintains a healthy retention of families and employees. The quality and professionalism found at Village Green Day School sets the standard by which all others are judged.

Lynne Simmons has over 40 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and is active as the School’s President. She is a leader who is genuinely sensitive to the needs of students, families, and employees, and her vision drives improvements that benefit the “Village Green Family.” She has attracted highly experienced administrative teams that share her enthusiasm, professionalism, drive, and philosophy.

Mrs. Simmons has been an active member and past President of the Northern Virginia Private School Association and has served on the Board of the Virginia Association for Early Childhood Education. She is a vocal advocate for women and children’s rights, and has received local and national awards for her leadership.
