Village Green Day School is celebrating Come into the Garden and Plant with Daddy during the month of April with school-wide class activities and special planting days with Dads. The school grounds and class gardens will be bursting with blooms and sprouting seedlings!

Lowes Island's Winter Festival
Village Green Day School at Lowes Island held its first Winter Festival sponsored by the Parent Advisory Council (PAC) on Saturday, February 2nd and we are happy to report that it was a great success!

Lowes Island School Introduces Class for 2 Year Olds
To better serve our professional families, Village Green Day School at Lowes Island is introducing a new offering for the 2013-2014 School Year. Children who will turn two by May 31, 2013 may attend a preschool class either 3 or 5 days a week, and may stay beyond the preschool morning for childcare until 6:00pm.

Lowes Island School feeds 230 at a Holiday Feast
More than 200 children and family members enjoyed a delicious holiday feast last week courtesy of the VGDS at Lowes Island Childcare (CC) and School Age Childcare (SACC) classes.

Lowes Island Families Donate to Backpack Buddies
The Village Green at Lowes Island students, families and staff have donated more than $800 to Backpack Buddies since the charitable drive began in November.

Race to Nowhere Viewing at Lowes Island Campus
"Chill Out!" That was the bottom-line message for parents, and our community as a whole, during a post-screening discussion of the educational documentary "Race to Nowhere" at Village Green Day School, Lowes Island earlier this month. The participants agreed that our children can be successful in life, even if they don't have the highest GPA, or get into the best college, or play on the best sports team.
