Lowes Island Camp Off to a Great Start

What a great first week at Lowes Island's Village Green Day Camp!
We stepped into summer with our Monday Jumpin' and Jivin' activity and our Wednesday Dance Party where the Lower Campers showed off their unbeatably cute moves. Funtastic Fitness also visited and showed our Upper Campers how fun it is to exercise and take care of their bodies. Exercising has never been so enjoyable!
After taking off their dancing shoes, our Lower Campers decided to pick up their magnifying glasses and explore the wonderful world of insects. And birds were chirping happily to see the beautiful painted birdhouses the campers made.
The Upper Campers took a hike to Great Falls Park where they discovered their place in the natural world by becoming Junior Rangers. They also learned about the habitats of domesticated and wild animals and about different types of trees and leaves.
After so much "hard work", the campers bathed under the sun and cooled down each day with bitsy beach/ water play.
All around there is lots of laughter, lots of new friendships, and many new memories.
