Parent Information

We’d like to welcome all families to Village Green!

Our School’s credo is "Where Learning Feels Like Family" and we hope that you find Village Green a place where your family feels secure and comforted by the administration, teachers and other families around you.

The School and our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) work together to organize many family-oriented events centered around our students' education. We invite your family to participate in these events that are sure to become special memories for years to come.

Events for 2012-2013 School Year

Playground Social- August 23

A fun way for you and your child to meet new classmates and their parents priort to the start of school.  Our teachers and administrative staff will also be in attendance to welcome the families.

First PAC Meeting- September 6

At this meeting, we'll welcome parents to our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) and finalize plans for our first big event, the Parent Social on Friday, September 28th.

An opportunity to break the ice and get to know the parents in your child's class, the teachers, and VGDS administrators.

 

Halloween Parades- October 26 & 31

Our students show off their Halloween Costumes for all to see.

Holiday Concerts- December 4 & 7

Our talented preschool students sing traditional holiday songs for their parents and friends as we celebrate holidays around the world. 

CC/SACC Holiday Dinner- December 7

An opportunity for your family to enjoy dinner with other Childcare and School Age Childcare families as we celebrate the winter holidays.  All of the side dishes are prepared by the students.

Winter Festival- February 2

Our special winter event that includes seasonal crafts and activities for the whole family to enjoy.  An auction at this event raises funds for PAC so they can subsidize other events held through the year.

Spring Musicals- March 19 & 22

The students peform a musical for their parents and friends, complete with songs, costumes and speaking parts.

Grandparents'/Special Guests' Days- April 3 & 4

We welcome our students' grandparents or special guests to spend a day with us in preschool.

Family Education Night- April 24

Our families return to Village Green in the evening to participate in activities related to our science theme of the year.
