A fun way for you and your child to meet new classmates and their parents, prior to the start of school.
A big thank you to everyone who attended and made the two PAC Playground Socials a big success. These events, held on Friday, August 19 and Saturday August 27, provided an opportunity for new and returning families to socialize together on the playground as they prepare to start the new school year. Over thirty students and their siblings and parents attended.
While at the social, the children were able to explore the playground that will become part of their daily schedule once school starts. Having familiarity with the playground will help new students transition into the school in September. They also met new friends and caught up with some former classmates they haven't seen all summer.
Parents were able to meet other parents whose children will be in their child's class during the school year. PAC Board Members, School Administrative Staff and some Teachers were also available to answer questions concerning the start of the new school year.
The goldfish snack and water provided by PAC was a big hit for the kids. And the parents appreciated the opportunity to get their children outside to play for a few hours (especially on Saturday the 27th, just before Hurricane Irene hit the area!).

The Parent Social was a wonderful success! Thank you to everyone who contributed their decorating sense, culinary talents, fun spirit and everything else that came together to create a memorable and magical evening. This year the Parent Social was held on Friday, September 30th and had a fun Oktoberfest theme. Over 80 parents and staff were in attendance!
It was great to see our families and staff having a chance to relax and enjoy a fun, social evening. The pot-luck style array of dishes were all delicious and the addition of traditional German food and drinks helped give the full Oktoberfest experience! We even managed to dodge the rain and got the pleasure of a perfect fall evening in the VGDS courtyard. Many families were having such a good time that the festivities continued well past the scheduled ending time.
We certainly hope you all enjoyed the event and were able to catch up with old friends or even make some new ones. We look forward to your continued help in making this a highlight of the school year here at Village Green.
An opportunity for preschool students and their parents to attend the Big Apple Circus at Dulles Town Center for a discounted price.
PAC will conduct a drive to collect items/donations for a local charity.
Our special holiday event that includes seasonal crafts and activities, "secret" holiday shopping, a visit with Santa, and entertainment.
An annual winter social at which parents and staff can enjoy each other's company. Every other year, this social serves as a charitable fundraiser for PAC that includes dinner & dancing, along with silent and live auctions!
The opportunity to show the teachers and staff of VGDS how much their efforst are appreciated.
This event is designed to familiarize new parents with VGDS. PAC representatives host each classroom to talk about typical days and what to expect in the coming year.
