At Village Green, our goal is to provide a fun and enriching camp experience in a relaxed, safe setting. We help our campers become happy, independent children so they can build the special memories that only a strong camp experience can provide!

We take a theme-based approach that is carefully  organized with activities to broaden your child’s camp experience.

Campers Explore Our 3-Acre Playground
Campers Explore Our 3-Acre Playground

Our campus is complete with an air-conditioned building, interior courtyard and spacious rooms for indoor projects. Outdoors, we offer an adventure playground, a sandbox, a concrete area for bikes and scooters, and a sports court providing tennis, badminton, volleyball and basketball capabilities.  Finally, a kitchen is available to provide well-balanced lunches and snacks.

Lower Camp: 2 1/2 - 5 Year Olds

For Lower Camp, campers may attend from 9:00am-1:00pm, 9:00am-4:00pm, or 7:00am-6:00pm

There’s no greater pleasure than digging in the dirt and watching a seedling sprout and grow. What else will we find outdoors? Bugs and birds, of course!

2: June 18-22: Wild Wonderful West

Dust off those cowboy boots, take down your 10 gallon hat and join the cowpokes for some rootin’ tootin’ boot-scootin’ fun.

3: June 25-29: Things with Wings, Wheels & Sails

How do we get from here to there? Will our boats sink or float? Let’s explore the many different ways we travel.

4: July 2-6 (closed July 4): Disney on Parade

Hop on your magic carpet as we travel through the land of Disney where we will discover the creative genius of Walt Disney and all those who brought the Disney characters to life.

5: July 9-13: Fairy Tales 'n Tunes

Travel with us to the enchanted forest where we will meet princes and princesses, and maybe a troll or two. Help us build an awesome castle complete with a draw bridge.

6: July 16-20: Paws for Pets

How do you take care of a dog or cat? Can you have a Chameleon for a pet? Village Green will be visited by a local Veterinarian who will help answer our questions.

7: July 23-27: Diggin' Dinosaurs

Become a paleontologist and help excavate our latest find at the Village Green jungle. Is it a carnivore or an herbivore?

8: July 30-Aug 3: Books Abound

The pages of some of our favorite stories will come alive as they are told through puppets, skits, the felt board and good old fashioned storytelling.

9: Aug 6-10: Pirates Sail the Salty Seas

Arr matey!! We’ll be making a pirate ship complete with its own flag then we’ll hunt for the buried treasure right here in the land of Village Green. All aboard!

Aug 13-17: Cool Down Care

As we put away camp and begin to set up for the new school year, we offer child care to those students who have registered for Childcare or School Age Childcare for the 2012-2013 School Year.

1: June 11-15: Nature Rocks

What’s in the tree? What’s under the log? Our campers will explore nature in our own backyard and visit local parks where they’ll go on a nature scavenger hunt and construct crafts with items they’ve discovered. Campers will learn about being 'keepers of the earth' through activities and stories.

2: June 18-22: Art Blast from our Southwest Past

Saddle up for an amazing journey back to our country’s southwestern past! Art and imagination will flourish as we create and enjoy exciting Native American and Cowboy style art, music, food and dance! Our Art Specialist will share her knowledge of the west and will end the week with a trip to the Native American Museum in D.C.

3: June 25-29: Science Sizzles

May the force be with you! From magnets to matter to exploding soda cans, our campers will explore a plethora of science activities. What’s bubbling in those test tubes? Only our scientists will know. Is there chemistry in the kitchen? Come and find out.

4: July 2-6 (closed July 4): Awesome Famous Art

Grab a paintbrush and prepare for tons of fun, as we create awesome art just like the world’s most famous artists! We’ll also get to explore an art museum and 'step in the picture' as we dress up and pose for our own living art gallery!

5: July 9-13: Sports I/Cheer & Dance

Sports
Grab those tennis rackets, basketballs, volleyballs and footballs and get ready to brush up on your skills on our awesome Sport Court and fields. We'll also have our campers hopping, skipping, and jumping using a variety of movement paraphernalia.

Cheer & Dance
Go-team-go! Let the chanting begin for your child's first experience learning basic cheerleading fundamentals. Our cheerleaders will go over jumps, formations, and will create their own cheers. Our crew will also be dancing to the latest rhythms that will culminate in a rousing performance for all to see.

7: July 23-27: Kids in the Kitchen

If it weren’t for the Americas, Africa wouldn’t have yams and the world wouldn’t have chocolate. For food and fun from North & South America, join our campers as they learn different taste treats, games, and the culture of the Americas. At the end of the week, our chefs will set up an American Deli to provide lunch for the rest of the camp.

8: July 30-Aug 3: Pirates! The Musical

We’re off to sail the rollicking sea but shiver me timbers there’s a stowaway on board. The King of the High 'Cs' will know what to do. Join our scallywags as we don our eye patches and peg legs to put together The Pirates Musical for a Village Green performance on the last day of camp.

Campers typically attend both weeks of this camp, but may choose to attend only one week.  Speaking parts will only be assigned to campers enrolled in both weeks.
