The Lowes Island School, located on three acres, accommodates 250 students and is a non-sectarian
preschool and kindergarten that serves the needs of the rapidly expanding eastern Loudoun County area.
It has been designed and envisioned as a community school and is nestled in the charming Virginia
countryside community of Potomac Falls. It combines an open interior facility with large glass windows
surrounding a courtyard for children’s play and an outdoor multi-tiered playground, classroom gardens,
woods and gentle slopes.
Both school sites are School Yard Habitats certified by the National Wildlife Federation.
