Several Saturday mornings beginning in August, new and returning families meet on the Village Green playground. This is a great way to get new students familiar with the school and meet their classmates. Volunteers bring snacks and provide introductions to new and returning families.
Ready to meet the parents in your class? Parent Socials, held in September and October, are casual evening gatherings designed for parents to meet other parents in their child’s class as well as the teachers and administrators. The events are held at parent homes and co-hosted by several other parents. It is a very fun evening where friendships are born. Volunteer Co-hosts coordinate invitations, food, and nametags. Typically, costs are shared by all. Check your email for your child's class invitation.
It’s family day at Village Green! Fall Festival will be held on school grounds on October 3rd from 10:00 to 12:00 pm. This family event kicks off the school year and is a great opportunity to meet the families in your child’s class. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend. Volunteer committees plan games, crafts, entertainment, and inflatable activities. Volunteers also organize the bake sale to raise money for PAC activities.
This fun event, adults only, enables parents to socialize and celebrate the year while raising money for PAC events! It will be held Saturday, March 2nd from 7:30 to 10:30 pm and is in the planning stages at this time. Volunteers are needed to coordinate the night’s auction, decorations, entertainment and registration. Class PAC representatives will help coordinate their classes’ support of the fundraiser.
This is our chance to thank the teachers and staff for all that they do for our children. PAC will be organizing various activities throughout the week of April 22nd.
PAC will organize a special dinner on Wednesday, April 24th, where parents act as waitstaff for the teachers. It is a fun night had by all. Volunteers are needed to organize on site activities and staff the dinner.
Scheduled for Thursday, May 16th from 7:30 – 9:00 pm, this event is designed to familiarize new parents with the school and provide an idea of how things will go in the fall. Village Green Administrators will talk about the basics (i.e. carpool, sick days, etc.). PAC Volunteers are needed for each classroom to discuss typical days and what to expect in the coming year.
This is our way of wrapping up another great year for the children. The event will be held on the school playground on Sunday, June 2nd from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Entertainment and ice cream makes this day fun and low key! Volunteers organize the ice cream, entertainment, registration, and set up/take down of the event.
