Great Falls Village Green Day School occupies over four acres of land in the center of the village of Great Falls, Virginia.  Within the building there are eight classrooms, an art room, a library, a commercial kitchen, and a bright multi-purpose room for indoor play, music and parent programs.  Our younger children enjoy our sensory porch and outdoor courtyard. The school grounds provide an extension to our classrooms, a place for natural learning, a tot lot, a large playground with age-appropriate equipment, a baseball field, a soccer field, and a basketball court.

The school grounds for both schools have been certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a School Yard Habitat. Each school’s garden-lined interior courtyards provide an alternative outdoor play and learning center for students.

Character Connection

We prepare our students to be citizens of the world with a solid foundation of character values, modeled daily by example. Focused activities and lessons feature universal values practiced by generations in an effort to live lives filled with purpose and meaning. Our students confidently demonstrate the values even when “no one is looking.” The Character Connection values introduced monthly include Citizenship, Responsibility, Sharing, Giving, Respect, Honesty, Patience, Friendship, and Caring.
