Tour
Seeing is believing. No matter how sophisticated our virtual world becomes, there is no substitute for the real thing. Call one – or both – of our campuses to arrange a parent-only tour. Discover how our Core Values of Community, Responsibility, Respect, Ethics, Honor, and Growth combine to create the energetic spirit that is the heart and soul of Village Green. Experience for yourself the warmth and compassion that emanates from our staff as they interact with our children. See for yourself why at Village Green, learning feels like family.
Apply
Tours begin in October for the following year. We begin accepting applications in March, although we do welcome applications year-round, space permitting. Our Open House events are typically held in late January and early February, and most parents submit applications at this time for openings the following fall.
Place
At Village Green we know that there is more to a child than a chronologic age. Our placement process ensures that each child’s individual needs are met across academic, emotional, social, and physical domains. To be certain we are addressing all the needs of a child, we utilize a variety of developmentally appropriate tools to guide the placement process. This process may include a playdate, a recommendation from your child’s prior school, and in the case of our Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students, a Gesell Developmental Screening.
Secure
Once a mutually satisfactory placement decision has been reached, the Admissions Team will provide you with a contract for the upcoming school year. Your child’s place is secured by timely contract execution.
Prepare
Once your child is enrolled, you become a part of our Village Green Family. We offer many opportunities for you and your child to feel at home with Village Green prior to the start of the school year. The New Parent Orientation in the spring will help you prepare your child for school. In June, an old-fashioned Ice Cream Social connects current families, new families, and staff members. To encourage new friendships and familiarize your child with the campus, our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) arranges summer playground socials. Attending a session or two of Village Green’s summer camp is also a great way to introduce your child to our school.
In August you will receive a mailing containing everything you need to know to begin a successful year at Village Green. Prior to the start of the school year, your child’s teacher will set up a time to visit with you and your child in your home or in the classroom.
Begin
On the first day of school, younger children will attend an orientation designed to help them adjust to the preschool environment. All children will be warmly welcomed by their teachers as they begin an exciting new school year!
